Reducing our impact, changing our practices

The bulk of our environmental footprint comes from the products we distribute.

We’re taking action on our emissions, our material flows and our product offerings. And we’re engaging suppliers and customers to drive change in practices. That’s where the transformation happens.

Our path is aligned with international climate goals (SBTi), and our course is clear: to move toward net zero by 2050.

We've therefore chosen to take action where it matters most: equipment lifespan, circularity, transportation, energy consumption and the impact of our purchases.

Measurable commitments

Our climate goals are aligned with the Paris Agreement and validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

By the end of 2030:

  • Scope 1 and 2 emissions decreased by 60% compared to 2023
  • Scope 3 emissions related to the use and end-of-life phases of products sold decreased by 42% compared to 2023
  • 94% of our electricity coming from renewable sources
  • 5,000 metric tons of CO₂ avoided through reuse

Transforming the supply chain

We're optimising our logistics flows and participating in the FRET21 programme to reduce our environmental impact: streamlining our logistics flows, reducing the distances traveled, improving vehicle load factors and pooling resources. We are also working with our partners to develop lower-carbon transportation solutions by gradually integrating alternative powertrains.

This approach is based on precise management of our emissions and close collaboration with our entire ecosystem.

Taking action on scope 3

Scope 3 accounts for the bulk of our carbon footprint, particularly for a retailer, where impacts are primarily concentrated upstream and downstream of our operations.

This means that our top priority is to transform the way products are designed, manufactured and transported. We're therefore working closely with our suppliers to steer our product offerings in the right direction, developing the circular economy and engaging our transportation partners to gradually transform our business model.

Circularity at the heart of operations

We've chosen to integrate circularity directly into our logistics operations. In practical terms, this means making the most of what we have: reducing resource use, reusing materials and extending their lifespan.

In our warehouses, this approach translates into concrete actions: optimising packaging, replacing plastic, reusing supplier cardboard boxes, repairing more than 10,000 pallets per year and developing large-scale reuse solutions.

Thanks to specialised equipment, such as a cardboard baler (which transforms used cardboard boxes into reusable packing material) and partnerships for packaging take-back, this initiative is firmly embedded in our daily operations.

Rely on recognised standards

We align our actions with recognised frameworks established by external organisations to structure and evaluate our progress. In addition to our SBTI-validated climate trajectory, we rely on the FRET21 programme to reduce the impact of transportation and manage our emissions at the operational level.

We also participate in CDP initiatives, which enhance the transparency of our carbon performance and allow us to objectively assess our results.

Finally, by joining initiatives led by the United Nations, we align our actions with international standards and contribute to collective sustainable development goals.
